Game Model Progress

Based on the Audi A4 DTM Edition, whatever that is.
Now, to be honest, the only complete parts of this are the wheels and exhaust pipes, and they're barely visible. The wheels do have a nice tread texture though. The model itself is essentially finished, though I may make some more tweaks later on.
Also, please excuse the horrible shakiness, as I don't know how to animate the camera's rotation around the origin any other way.

Now on my todo list:
  • Find a way to make the windows acceptable (possibly tinting all of them?)
  • Add detail to doors, hood, trunk, and perhaps add a license plate.

Blender 2.6

I've been on v.2.49a for a while now, mainly because I did not like the looks of 2.5.
Whether 2.5 and 2.6 are different or not is unimportant; 2.6 has grown on me.

Planning on learning how to use 2.6 properly, over my winter break, and also try my hand at 3ds Max.
Here is a simple room with a few props made in Blender.

A head of the game

Making a 3d replica of a person that I know, out of sheer boredom.

 I am not a psychopath, I swear.

For those interested *crickets* this is ThatSnail.

Also I may or may not be putting him in a game which he may or may not find out about until it is or is not done.

HTML5 and Games

Presenting: thechocolate Made during some sort of competition a while back, thechocolate is my test subject for GM:HTML5. GM:HTML5 is not very pretty, and it's really quite ugly, however it ported my game eventually. After editing the code so that it would work properly. Several times.

Behold: Magic

HTML5 Graphing System is now finally done.

Just a note: IE doesn't want to play fair, but Chrome and Firefox should be just fine.

Read more to try it.

Mobility

Revealing...mobile website!
Website, meet iTouch. You two play nice, m'kay?
It has essentially all of the functionality of the original website.
Still needs some tweaking, but it works.
To try it out, just go to http://exartech.comxa.com/  on an iPod Touch or iPhone.

Also added WordPress to the server at /blog
I may move from here to there, but in the meantime, this is all I've had time for.

More news to come on that.

Look Ma, Boredom!

I did some things today out of boredom, and fear of wasting a perfectly good day off.

Drunk Sleep Image inspired by a perpetually wasted tired friend. Also some hexagon things.

Least Interesting Developments

In not exciting news, I have been messing around with php a little bit. Here is an image that says different things:

Fancy and amazing, I know right. More demonstration:
That will have whatever text is assigned to it through this link: http://exartech.comxa.com/imagegentext2.php?text=blah

Simply change "blah" to whatever you want, refresh, and presto. Welcome to the highlight of my week.

Clouds

Perhaps it was a month ago, maybe even more, that I had an idea to generate clouds. I've seen it done with plain images, or stacked layers of perlin noise, both of which are interesting methods. I had an idea, however, to make clouds as they are made in the real world (or at least, as I believe they are). Water vapor in higher density is more opaque, and will appear white and fluffy. Lower density yields more transparent wisps of cloud.

Class Notes Experiment

As I have been told to update my blog lately, I suppose I will be updating my blog lately.
I haven't had much time to do anything developery lately, so this will have to do.

I'm not dead

Yes, there must have been those of you that had worried I fell off a tall building. There is no reason to worry, I will give at least a week's notice before I partake in any death-related activities, like suicide. So lately, yes lately. I have made really bad fake trumpet music. I might update some more lately, but it is important not to worry. I am not dead. *claps in empty auditorium*
